Hi! I'm making a BP Eevee team. It's meant for casual play against friends and such; not so much in tournaments. Feedback would be appreciated. :chuckle:

Jolteon @ Focus Sash
252 Sp Atk; 252 Spd;
Thunderbolt
Agility
HP Fighting
BP

Starter. Jolteon is fast and is meant to pass agility to the rest of the team. Focus Sash guarantees at least one agility. He can also serve as a SP Sweeper. Eletric & Fighting moves should hopefully scare away Ninjasks & Weavile starters

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
252 HP; 128 Def; 128 Sp. Def;
Wish
Substitute
Acid Armor
BP

Support/Wall. Vaporeon is pretty bulky. Wish & Substitute are a great stalling combo and he can pass Wish to the other eevees. I may switch out Acid Armor for surf though--not sure yet.

Flareon @ Expert Belt
252 Atk; 252 Sp. Atk;
Flamethrower
Return
HP Grass
BP

Mixed Sweeper. Flareon has a pretty poor moveset and really can't function as much besides a Mixed Sweeper. However with some agilities from Jolteon, he could become pretty deadly. HP Grass takes care of his rock & water weakness.

Espeon @ Wisdom Glasses
252 Sp Atk; 252 Spd;
Psychic
Calm Mind
HP Ice
BP

SP Sweeper. A couple calm minds and my team could become pretty unstoppable. HP Ice takes care of dragon types easily.

Umbreon @ Brightpowder
252 HP; 128 Def; 128 Sp Def;
Meanlook
Taunt
Toxic
BP

Support/Wall. Umbreon is really more of an Anti-wall than a wall himself. If he can manage to trap a wall and taunt them, my team would be allowed a fairly easy time maxing out stats.

Leafeon @ Concentration Band
252 Atk; 252 Spd;
Swordsdance
Leaf Blade
X-Scissor
BP

Physical Sweeper. Sword dance pass will help out both Lefeaon & Flareon. Leaf Blade and X-Scissor are both strong moves. If he has any problems, he can just bp out of there.

Phazer are obviously going to kill my team and if one sweeper falls then I lose a lot of type advantages. But other than that is there anything that needs improvement?

You're missing natures.

Jolteon @ Focus Sash

HP Fighting

Ninjask and Weavile can't touch you, go with HP Fire to hit Metagross, Jirachi, Forretress, whatever. Swampert walls you... but Leafeon can sacre it away. HP Ice is also good, giving you the legendary BoltBeam combo.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
252 HP; 128 Def; 128 Sp. Def;
Wish
Substitute
Acid Armor
BP

Support/Wall. Vaporeon is pretty bulky. Wish & Substitute are a great stalling combo and he can pass Wish to the other eevees. I may switch out Acid Armor for surf though--not sure yet.

Surf is a decent option, since Taunt makes you cry. Vappy's Subs are too good to pass up... I'd drop either Wish or Acid Armor if you want Surf. Most Eeveelutions have sub-par defense, though.

Flareon @ Expert Belt
252 Atk; 252 Sp. Atk;

What's the Baton Pass doing there? Go with Brick Break or something. Also, Life Orb?

Espeon @ Wisdom Glasses
252 Sp Atk; 252 Spd;
Psychic
Calm Mind
HP Ice
BP

SP Sweeper. A couple calm minds and my team could become pretty unstoppable. HP Ice takes care of dragon types easily.

Psychic gives good coverage - Dark, Steel, and Psychic resist it. I'd try HP Fighting. If you really need something to hit Dragons, I'd BP some Acid Armors to a Glaceon. Wise Glasses are weak, I'd try a Life Orb.

Umbreon @ Brightpowder
252 HP; 128 Def; 128 Sp Def;
Meanlook
Taunt
Toxic
BP

Support/Wall. Umbreon is really more of an Anti-wall than a wall himself. If he can manage to trap a wall and taunt them, my team would be allowed a fairly easy time maxing out stats.

Why Brightpowder instead of Leftovers? Otherwise, good.

Leafeon @ Concentration Band
252 Atk; 252 Spd;
Swordsdance
Leaf Blade
X-Scissor
BP

Physical Sweeper. Sword dance pass will help out both Lefeaon & Flareon. Leaf Blade and X-Scissor are both strong moves. If he has any problems, he can just bp out of there.

Smogon says there's no such thing as a Concentration Band. Most stuff will be able to KO you before you get to pass a Swords Dance.

But Focus Band, like Brightpowder, is a "luck hax" item, and as such, is banned if standard clauses are on.

Also, annoying1359 was right about leftovers. What's an Umbreon without those (or Moonlight)? Also, Flareon can't use Brick Break.

To my knowledge, both Focus band and Brightpowder are not banned

Thanks for reassuring. Focus Band is not banned for Item Clause if someone else is already holding Focus Sash (Jolteon in this case).

And Brightpowder also, the only case I would consider banned on is Garchomp abusing Sand Veil or something, and Garchomp is already banned anyway.

Psycho already covered it, but I'll reiterate it for the sake of it being so. They're not banned, and the reasoning is basically because the use of at least one of those two items carries a certain strategic value. Also, Umbreon wants wish, not moonlight. I'm not sure if it still stands (I haven't played in OU in quite some time), but last I knew Sandstorm was a pretty common thing to see. Umbreon's dead if he's trying to use moonlight under SS. Plus, the set he has is basically what ensures set-up fodder. If they have a Poke that's built to wall and Umbreon still exists, then the match might as well be as good as done.

Froslass says hi. I know it's not considered ban-worthy because of Froslass' overall frailty, but as someone who has once faced the ever-horrid Froslass, I can vouch...it's horrible. It can get even gayer than the likes of Togekiss and Breloom if luck is your way (which in most cases, it will be).

Actually, if you're using Substitutes with Sand Veil / Snow Cloak, you're better off with Leftovers, which gives you 5 subs instead of 4. Maths.

Meh, either way works. There are a couple others that have more use for brightpowder than leftovers though. They're just hardly ever seen, thanks to their mediocre stats in certain areas. ;-;

And too bad this is a BP Eeveelution-only team, otherwise he could effectively use one of the Pokes that would generally enjoy brightpowder over leftovers. >.<
