Edit screenshots on a computer?

I don't know if it's possible, but can you edit screenshots taken in Smash 3DS? I mean, if you find them on the SD Card on your computer, and edit it with MS Paint or something, it won't display on the 3DS. I think there is special data in the .jpg, which gets changed or removed when the image is edited.

And is it the same with Smash U?

Not that I know of. I wouldn't want to have "edited" images on my 3DS, anyway.

You can't. You can transfer 3DS photo's onto a PC BUT you cannot do the latter (PC to 3DS.)

While I'm not as tech savy and I have no knowledge of this but a simple google search provided that the 3DS will not read images that the 3DS hasn't actually taken itself and will not accept outside sources even if they follow the same basis pictures on the 3DS follows.

The only method I know however that works on bring edited photos onto the 3DS is too manually upload the picture on a site and download the image to your 3DS through the built in browser. Not a preferred method but it works.

This is true. Still, I wouldn't really do it.
