Besides his two projectiles, Diddy has several other effective edgeguarding tools.
His UpB is great against certain recoveries either as a spike or just to hit them back out.
Dash attack is also a pretty decent tool that can combo into other finishers like Dair or Fair. Ive even seen it used against tether character to hit them deep before they can snap to ledge (sortve like at a 45degree angle below edge).
Dtilt is good for putting out a quick hitbox at the ledge but has low priority. I think it actually clanks with spacie's phantasm just to give an idea of how low it is. A Down smash would probably be a better option in most cases and also hits slightly below edge if opponent doesnt sweet spot correctly with their recovery.
Ftilt, on the contrary, is slow but has good priority and reach and great knockback. Fsmash is slow as well but very powerful if you can hit it.
Finally, his bair is quick and great at intercepting opponents from an edgehogging position.
His Fair is also extremely effective with great knockback that sends the opponent at a horrible angle and a lasting hitbox. Most likely, if you land a sweetspotted hit offstage, the opponent wont be coming back.
Hope this helps!

Gimps from bananas and peanuts are really good. Charged peanuts will usually be good enough against most characters to knock them back too far to recover.

For knocking them farther back, forward smash is really good, and down smash is solid.

For protecting from the edge, Bairs are great if you can defend the position, and a quick reverse side B grab off the ledge, followed by a jump will shoot them straight down. Dairs are your best friend overall, but they can be difficult to set up properly.

Finally, your jetpack is incredible. Sitting below the ledge with it charging is good against almost anyone (obviously don't do this against Falco), and sitting at the lip of the ledge if they are approaching from straight below should let you get that satisfying spike that every Diddy main loves.

For most of these, you will need to be fairly comfortable at the ledge and off it to not kill yourself or mess up, so be sure and practice it.

Depending on how the opponent is recovering, Arch bananas and shoot peanuts as they approach. Then grab ledge and either charge and up-b or aim for intercepting bairs. Projectiles are really useful for stealing jumps/controlling space, to force them to recover low where charging up-b really bodies people.

a few characters you can safely aim for up-b edge guards on would be most teather recoveries, and characters like snake/ganon. Just be wary to do it until after more of their resorces are exausted, because if they aren't they could turn the posistion around on you.

Footstools are really really good too.

Ah! So Diddy has plenty of options. I need to practice that Bair from the ledge, I can't seem to get that right.
