Wassap people!

This is the first time I've ever recorded my Marth. I've learned to play him based on vids I watch, and unfortunetly not off pro tips i wish I had. :ohwell:
I figured it was time to jump on the rate-a-Marth bandwagon.

I'd love to know of anything I'm doing wrong, should be doing, or aren't doing enough of. Mindgame tips? Post em'. Any kind of contribution will suffice.

I'll update this with vids of my improvement whenever I can. Please feel free to post anything. Advice, comments, critiques; &ty in advance fellow Marths.

The only thing I could really notice from those videos is Ambrose isn't very patient and leaves himself open for punishment because of it. Fox and Cpt. Falcon are both faster characters than Marth, especially with Cpt. Falcon I don't even think he grabbed you, let alone tried to dashdance camp grab you. He also hardly full jumped/double jumped attacks into you, since almost all his attack approached were shffls it made it really easy for you to intercept with your own shffl or an uptilt.

Your Marth looked very solid against him since he was aggressive. You get your openings minimal and he left himself open alot and you capitalized very well. It's hard to critique well when it didn't look like the matches were even close. Sorry.

I saw the Falcon vs. Marth one
Pretty good but I think your opponet wasnt as exprianced as you as they left themselves open to attack often. You're still a good player though from what I saw there
Your mindgames are awesome and you always seem to be moving, which is good.
You need to face better people. A fast captain falcon is a challenge.

I would suggest working a tad on your grab game. I'm not only talking about DD grabs (which work, mind you, unless you start getting dash attacked too much), but about tilting your shield and getting some CC grabs in.

You also seem to like "doing stuff" all the time. Consider staying perfectly still for half a second or so here and there, it really creeps space animals out. Also, once you start moving around all the time, you become more predictable because it's expected you will jump and attack after doing ___, you will try for a grab___ . Other foxes would probably laser you into making you approach and then throw you lots.

Instead of fair after throwing a spacie onto a platform, consider wding under the platform and utilt. If you don't have time, shffl an uair to position yourself. Uairs lead to more utilts/ fsmashs/ fairs... platform tech chasing etc.

Last but not least, from what I've seen, it seems you guys pride yourselves on being "fast". That's cool and all, but winning is nice too =P , with Marth slowing down isn't always a bad thing. Good stuff.

Your other posts. On like, SWs threads. "this gives me ideas."... "yay thunders' " etc. It's not a bad thing, I pride myself on powershielding.
