Hey! I'm Probalo, an online tournament organizer. You may know about my other tournaments if you play on Anther's Ladder, Prosmash. I've hosted 4 Prosmash tourneys, but my more recent tournaments have been disasters of online tournaments. I couldn't arrive for Prosmash III because of my pneumonia at the time, and Prosmash IV was just generally unorganized. After a break from TO'ing, I've decided to come back to the online scene and host "Eat My Shield!"

Eat My Shield is a Smash Wii U tournament that will take place on June 25, 2015 at 1:00 pm CST. All of the matches in this tournament will be played through Anther's Ladder, so an account on there is required for this tournament (accounts are free). To participate in this tournament, you must be present in the Eat My Shield chatroom which can be found here: http://www.smashladder.com/netplay/Eat My Shield chat room. All tournament participants must check in on the Challonge bracket page (which can be found here) at least 1 hour before the tournament. Please either make your name in the bracket your name on Anther's Ladder or include your Anther's Ladder name in the bracket. This will prevent confusion of who is who in the chat room.
This tournament has a participant cap set to 24. If you sign up after the cap is reached, you will be removed from the bracket all together.
All matches will be played through Anther's Ladder's matchmaking system. The tournaments ruleset will be a variation of the ruleset used on Anther's Ladder. The tournament's ruleset is as follows:
-------------------------------------------
All matches except for Winners, Losers and Grand Finals will Bo3 (best of 3)
Winners, Losers and Grand Finals will be Bo5 (best of 5)

-2 stocks, 8 minutes
-No items
-Customs OFF
-Gentlemen's Clause applies (any stage can be chosen for a game as long as both players agree.)
-Dave's Stupid Rule applies (a stage that a player has most recently won on cannot be counter picked by the same player.)

STAGE LIST:
Starters-
Battlefield
Final Destination
Smashville
Miiverse
Dreamland 64

Counter Picks-
Duck Hunt
Castle Siege
Town And City
Halberd

---------------------------------------------------
To play your match, find your opponent in bracket and challenge them to either a Bo3 or Bo5 match (depending on your position in bracket). Report your results of who won the match after your set is over.

And that's it! I hope you all enjoy Eat My Shield!

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that we received your tournament submission and are now featuring this tournament on www.mechakoopa.com!

We should probably discuss details on streaming, should you want us to cover Eat My Shield!
