My Ganon is mostly spacing aerials and doing combos with tilts, flame choke, and jab with an occasional dash attack. But my absolute fav move in the entire game is dair. I focus on setting it up more than anything. Whether I use it for combos or kills at low or high percents respectively or meteor-ing, It's definitely one of his best aerials, if not the best. I thought Roy's dair would be a similar attack but I always die when I set it up so the main reason my Roy sucks is because of that, so can you please tell me a similar attack so I can switch from Ganon to a more *erk* *hack* vi- able character. If there isn't a similar attack then I'll just stick with my main mamon Ganon. Screw you tier lists!

Marth's d-air is incredibly satisfying to land

Captain Falcon plays like a faster, better G-dorf and has a great meteor/spike with his d-air (or side-B if you wanna style)

Ike has a ****load of spikes/meteors and he's really fun

Besides the obvious choices.

Zero Suit Samus' upB acts like a slight meteor mash when hitting the person correctly. The hardest character to kill with it is Kirby, because he needs to be around 70% for it to work. It is the best way to display your skilled timing/aim while salting your opponent. It is one of the more challenging ways to throw somebody down into the bottom blast zone.

Any of Zelda's aerials when properly sweetspotted. Usually all very risky. Pinpoint kicks. Laggy Dair and Uair. But damn are they amazing to sweetspot. Dat precision and timing.

Marth's Dair is kinda safe but sometimes risky. You also need to hit the person at the right angle. He also has some fluid combos that can lead to KOs well under 100%.

Samus has a beautiful Dair. But it is laggy and not safe. Projectiles for range that can also KO or edge guard. Mines and rolling for protection. An insanely good and safe recovery. Acts fast out of hitstun. Flooooooaty.

Ike. All smashes may as well be spikes. Dair is ridonk. He requires good timing and spacing. He is an amazing punisher. And his edge guarding is kind of easy since most of his moves will cause the target to recover from a higher. Hop off stage, hit Nair, return. Or toss off stage, hop off stage, Dair, return.

I personally suggested Princess Zeldoo. She's extremely versatile and all her main kill options basically scream "YOU JUST GOT ROYALLY KNOCKED DA **** OUT!" in the most graceful way as possible. Even her back throw tumbles the opponent majestically within a flurry of pretty sparkles and light before shuttle launching them into the blast zone. Which makes even more pretty sparkles and lights!

As you can tell by my signature, I like sparkly magic. C:

After trying out some of the suggested character, Ike, Wolf, and Marth stood out to me. Ike actually fits my gimping playstyle like a glove but figuring out when and how to use Quick Draw and overall learning him is kinda hard. Marth's combos flow like water but his spike is kinda hard. Wolf is probably the most fun but it's too much techniques! I guess I'll try to learn Ike because honestly my only good characters are Sheik, Ganon, and my best is MK. Any Ike advice would be very appreciated.

Lucas is insanely good and fun to play. He has a lot of options and techniques, but his aerials are all amazing so just SHFFLing and DJCing are the key techniques which is nice because they apply to other characters. I mention Lucas because his Bair is an extremely satisfying spike like Ganon's. It's very powerful, has great range and is the only Bair that spikes (or meteors, no other Bair hits down like it). You can jump out of the magnet (downb), and because it sends them behind you, it's not too hard to follow up with a Bair for a small, simple yet incredibly satisfying combo.

Ness dair is so butter smooth. Comes out so quick and rising dair with doublejump is awesome.

Plasma Wire (Up-B) on ZSS is an incredibly safe meteor to try and land because it's hitting so far above you. You can get some interesting offstage gimps with it.

Best meteor hit though is squirtle's D-smash at the ledge, shoots you straight down in the meteor angle, but you can't meteor cancel it :p It even hits characters trying to sweetspot.

Definitely check out the Ike subforums if you haven't yet.

From my understanding, the gist of Ike is that you don't really want to approach with Quick Draw, he has a really good dash dance, and he's smooth as a criminal.

When you do MK's dair near the edge and send people down, what's that? I don't think it's a meteor, but they get sent downward, like really fast. Is it just a move that sends people down?

think of it like a spike that has very little hitstun, but a high launch speed. same with lucario's and wolf's upb directed downward.

Already mentioned but Lucas's bair is a killer. Timing it while on the edge obliterates someone recovering.

Also his dair is good, but it's like 3 hits. Kick, kick, spike. So make sure you land all three.

Lucas' D-Air is not a Spike though, only his B-air. But it is a plus, he has two attacks to work with, both a Meteor and Spike. Maybe he is your boy =3

I think Toon Link's spike/meteor are some of the most disheartening for your opponent. You have the dtilt spike which is only a nair/fair/bair/jab/throw/anything away. Then the dair fire spike ignites them into a flaming ball of sadness before they plummet to oblivion.

Why has nobody said Olimar? He's got fat aerials and smashes that are perfect for gimping, and his dair is easy and aafe even with his trash recovery. He's similar to Ganon but he has a very nice combo game that will surprise opponents. Dash attack, up tilt, up smash, up air, down tilt and nair are potent juggling tools. Although he does have some big holes in his viabilty and he is more of a glass cannon than Falco and G&W! Diddy Kong too is crazy face gimper banana combo, whatever that means. He is mega broken and can zero to death you with complete ease! Bananas are one of the best projectiles in the game, amd he 3 meteors: dair, side b, and up b! I just gotta go with Olimar. I focus mainly on MK and Ike just has too much character specific things while Olimar is just combo on impulse and he's much easier to use than people make him out to be. He racks up damage like nobody's buisness and has that special passive aggressive playstyle I adore. He still has big problems so if anyone knows what character fits my bill better, I'm all ears. Maybe it's not neccesarily the spike but I love offstage edgeguards.

Definitely like 9bit said, come over to the Ike subforums and ask away. The Ike mains are some really smart, thoughtful players, and they're all really helpful. You can ask me any questions you have too, and I can try my best to help out but I'm not as experienced as some of the others. Definitely watch Metroid play his Ike as much as you can. He has the most understanding and technical skill with Ike in PM as he is now. Ike is the business though. He takes practice but pays off huge for it, and I hope you decide to stick with him. I could always use more friends to fight for.

I live in like the border dude. I'm a 3 hour car drive away from Mexico. The chances of you and me playing each other are none. I've only gone to one tournament where I kicked everyone's butt and I'm young. It wasn't recorded so I can prove if I really am good. The only possible way I could go to a big tournament is when we move to San Antonio. Sorry, but I just like gimpy passive aggressive characters so if you know a better character like that I'll pick him up even if he has some character specific stuff. Right now I'm looking at Kirby but I still dont know

Since no one has mentioned Zard's dair meteor I will. Offstage it can kill and coupled with multiple jumps is "safe." And on grounded opponents it has the best follow ups of any character because of Down-b Fly.

Lest we all forget, Donkey Kong has TWO SPIKES. AND A METEOR. Best character n/a
Buts he can't use them at all because he SDs if he does -_- Oh my lord why are all the bad characters the most fun? I simply cannot choose another main. Mario doesn't cut it cuz I barely practice him and he's still good. Wolf? Ganon? Olimar? Lucas? Mewtwo? Marth? Who? Charizard is not for me. Sorry I'm so undecided :)

No Diddy Kong love? His dair is nice for combos and it meteors. His up-b meteors too, I think (or is it a spike?). Getting a kill for recovery is a great feeling.

If you like playing off stage and gimping, have you tried Dedede? He doesn't have any really useful meteors/spikes, but he can go super deep off stage for gimps and it's extremely satisfying. If a character with a linear recovery goes off stage vs D3, it's almost a guaranteed stock.

i hate diddy.
Yeah Diddy is dumb. 10dumbs

I will try Dedede and he does look very promising. He's one of he few characters I never play but it's worth the try. He actually looks like a combination of my 3 mains: MK cuz gimps, Ganon cuz range and power, Olimar cuz waddle dees and other stuff. If he is intermidiately technical and fun and not weird like in Brawl, there is a chance I will pick him.

Diddy is more broken than a dimension toast raffle. Seriously, PMDT, how could slip by you how broken Sonic, Mewtwo, Lucas, Diddy, Pit, and kind of Link and Mario are?
EDIT: Check out my sig. I swear I'm sticking Dedede this time.

Lucas and Diddy are broken yes and Mewtwo has a godlike recovery, but Mario nor Sonic arent broken.
Pit and Link im neutral with them though.

I've found that Falcon's meteor is really easy to land because generally you go for uair -> knee and the stomp is generally unexpected
