-The tournament format will be Double Elimination format.
-2 Stock, 6-minute Limit
-If time runs out, the winner is determined by remaining stock, and then by ending damage percentage.
-If both stock and percentage are identical, or a game ends with both players being KO'd simultaneously, then a tiebreaker is played. A tiebreaker is a 1 stock, 3 minute match with the same characters and the same stage.
-Items Off
-Equipment Off
-Best of 3 (2/3); Semi-Finals and Finals Best of 5 (3/5)
-Starting Stages: Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville, Town & City, Kirby’s Dreamland 64, Lylat Cruise
-Counterpick Stages: Duck Hunt, Castle Siege, Delfino Plaza, Halberd, Umbra Clock Tower
-NO Stalling
-NO OMEGA STAGES
-NO Custom Moves
-NO Amiibos
-NO Mii Fighters (For Simplicity due to the open-endedness of custom fighters and custom moves, even though Mii fighters aren’t ranked high on the tier list)
-No loading data from DS unless approved by event organizer.
Stage Selection: For all rounds, all stages can either be chosen via stage striking or by both players agreeing on a stage (which overrides the following rule). Stage striking for the first round in a match is determined by both players playing Rock-Paper-Scissors. The winner gets first choice on which stage to ban, followed by the loser banning two stages, than the winner banning one more stage, then the loser choosing the stage to be played for that round. After the first round in a match, if both players agree to utilize stage striking instead of mutually agreeing on a stage, the loser of the previous round starts striking first banning TWO stages, and alternates between players back and forth with each player banning two stages until one stage remains, which will be the stage that the players will play on for that round.
-You may not choose a stage you already played on unless mutually agreed upon by both players.
-You may not play on a stage that is not on the available stages list. If a stage is chosen by accident, you will have the chance to quit and choose a correct stage, however if the plays fail to do so, it will result in a double disqualification.
-Winner of the round has to pick their character first to allow the loser a chance to choose a counter-pick character if they so choose.
-If a round ends via a suicide move where both players lose their stock as the same time, the winner is determined based on who the game determines is the winner (this is to discourage people from using the move as it’s not always consistent).
-In the rare event of a match tie, an additional match round will be played as a tiebreaker. The additional round is a standard match round.
-Players are allowed to bring their own controllers, otherwise a small number of controllers will be provided at the tournament. However, the old Wavebird controllers are BANNED (due to simplicity and issues that they’re known to cause).
-Any additional rules will be explained at the event.

Registration and casual play from 12:00PM-1:25PM but feel free to arrive early (no earlier than Noon) and meet other players. Also, up-and-coming YouTuber and Twitch Streamer Tom "TheyCallMeTakeo" Moen will be there hosting and facilitating the event.

If there is a large turnout, the tournament may be extended into the two weeks later, with this week's event being treated as a qualifier event, and the next week being finals. The reason for this is for scheduling purposes.

Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase (including energy drinks). And once the event for the day is over, you'll also have the option to stay as well for the anime Midnight Marathon afterward starting at 6pm.
