E.G.G.S. Is here for its fourth Smash 4 Wii U tournament in Verona! We will be running a singles bracket first, followed by a doubles bracket given enough people sign up. 5$ venue fee, plus 7$ for each bracket. Payout goes to top 2 with a ratio of 70/30. Since this tournament is being run at a private residence, for security reasons we ask that you please confirm that you are attending the event on Facebook(https://www.facebook.com/events/1514231095568515/) or have a form of ID ready when you arrive. Also, given the size of the venue, no more than 35 people are going to be allowed in, so sign up as soon as you can! We will post on the facebook event page event page when and if we've reached the maximum amount of signups in each bracket. Sign ups for the Singles bracket start at 12:30 PM, and signups for the Doubles bracket will begin at 2:30 PM. Feel free to stick around for some friendlies after the Tournament! We have Gamecube controller adapters for every Wii U. The tournament rules are as follows.
Double Elimination
2 Stocks, 6 Minutes/3 stocks, 8 minutes for doubles
If a match goes to time, the player with the most stocks wins the game. If both players have the same amount of stocks, the player with the least damage wins.
Items/equipment off/customs off
Sets are best 2 of 3
Winners, losers and Grand finals are best 3 of 5
DSR is on (you cannot counter pick a stage you have already won on during that set)
Starter Stages: Battlefield/Miiverse, Final Destination, Smashville, Town And City, Dreamland 64
Counter Picks: Lylat Cruise, Duck Hunt, Omegas (counts as FD)
Order of events: Pick characters, then stage striking
The first stage can be chosen by selecting random on the stage select screen, it is set to only the starter stages. However, players are free to use an alternative way of selecting a starter stage if both agree to it.
Following stages decided by the winner banning 1 stage from the list of all the stages and then loser choosing.
