DVD ripping software

So does anyone know of any good DVD ripping software. I have one but I can't get it to render my video files in good quality like I want it to. I could use dazzle with my dvd recorder. But my comp isn't equipped with the "high-speed" usb ports so I don't think it would even work.

I keep getting a stupid *** error that looks like this:

"EXCEPTION: Cannot open file "C:\Documents and Settings\Nu Uzer\My Documents\Smash\DVD rip\agk_tmp\Smash set 3.d2v". The system cannot find the file specified
"

Do you know why it keeps doin that?
