Smash Journeyman
Just like the title states. After upgrading my labtop to Windows 7 from Vista, my DVD drive is rendered useless. It doesn't show up under My Computer, and refuses to play any disc. I had a dell representative take a look at my computer and they say the registry is damaged and this has happened to a lot of people with the upgrade.
My labtop being several months old, one would think that it would be covered by the warrenty. Well, it's not. In the warranty bundles they sold,it doesn't cover software and they tried to sell me a $130 software warrenty (how convinient for them don't you think?)
My question is there anything I can do solve the problem myself?
