Over on the meta-game thread snag + zigzag combos were discussed breifly but were discredited because of how hard and risky they would be to setup in a real game. However there was huge potential so I continued to test it in the lab.

The combo requires the zigzag can to be non-pinged and inside the opponent as setup. Have Duck Hunt be as close as possible to the opponent and use Snag. Make sure that Duck Hunt did not double jump before activating Snag. As soon as Up-B is pressed, mash B as fast as possible for the zigzag. The opponent will be hit by both the snag and the zigzag combo at the same time. Do not move in any direction with Snag as you do not want the opponent to fall out of the combo. The reason why this combo works is that Snag is able to keep the opponent locked for the full hit of Zigzag and eliminates the sourspots Zigzag would normally have. This was done in training mode, so im not sure if the opponent can DI out, but it seems very unlikely this combo is escapable becuase of the locking moves.

In order to kill the opponent with the combo, you have to let the can explode and hit both you and the opponent. At this time, the opponent should pop up above you. You will be able to act first because they will be in hitstun longer due to the differnce in % after the combo. Double jump to the place you popped the opponent up and attack with Up-Air. If the map is a low enough ceiling and all hits of up-air connect, it will kill off the top.

The combo was done on Batttlefield on the 3DS. The test subject was Jigglypuff and she was standing on the lower platform. Both characters were at 0%.

The % thresholds for the combo should be opponent is at 53-54 % after the explosion, the full hit of Up-Air should kill them off the top at 62-66%.

The kill doesn't work on every character and is determined by the map ceiling. If the kill is not possible, use nair for max damage.

I'm requesting for someone to post a video of this, and for the combo to be tested on other low ceiling maps. Thank you in advance.
