Soooo I just had my first smash for Wii U dream (anybody else dream of smash before?)
Anyway I was in doubles GFs last game, everybody was hype because the set count was 2-2. My partner was at high percent as peach I was Marth we were on some crazy level resembling the Spear Pillar stage from brawl but with longer platforms.
My opponents started to 2v1 me since my partner was running away trying to survive. I kept running in circles around the loop, trying my best get back to the below platform so I could survive longer lmao.
I finally made it to lower platform with the ike hot on my heels. I began to dash away but the ike dash attacked, giving me a hard knockdown. (sf anyone?) I get up rolled to the left and the Ike dashed forward and started charging fsmash as I turned around and charged shieldbreaker. My attack *narrowly* outranged his and I ended his stock as he bounced around the wall and ceiling to his doom (learn to tech guys).
Meanwhile his partner, pikachu, had taken advantage of the situation below to target my poor partner and Nair him for a quick KO. He landed on the lower platform and was dashing to me as his buddy got launched across the floor and ceiling to his death.
As the pikachu was running to me I felt so hype/adrenaline rush that I'd just barely survived death and KO'd the ike, and knew that the fate of the tournament was about to be decided.
I start charging shieldbreaker as the pika ran towards because I was feeling so ballzy and waited for the pika to come meet his end.
He came closer and closer...till finally he was in my range and...
He rolled. He rolled behind me.
......
I saw a flash then the sound of somebody being KO'd and I smiled. I'd won.
See in my dream version of smash (lol) if you're charging a smash/special with committed charge, and your opponent rolls behind you, you can reverse the smash/special by flicking the opposite direction. This only applies if your opponent rolls however. Thinking about it, it reminds me of DP autocorrects in street fighter.
Anyway, I just thought that that would be an interesting "what-if" mechanic for smash, and wanted to know your thoughts/comments.
Hope this in the right section lol
