Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3,

I played this game with my friend today, it was awesome! I'm intrested in getting it, but here's the thing. We played the PS2 version, and I'm intrested in the Wii one.

The question, the wii-remote would easily make this game impossible! So can any proud owners tell me if you can use a gamecube controller with it? Thanks! :)

yes You can use the Game cube controllers with it, the dragon ball z games are fun but I have heard you can pretty much just teleport out of all the combos in this game. I really enjoyed Tenkaichi 2 though.

I have not played 3, but I hear the controls are very much the same as 2. Let me tell you this: I played Tenkaichi on GameCube and I hated it. I couldn't figure out the controls at all and the whole thing felt clunky. Playing it on the Wii, I can't believe I took to it so easily! Sure, there's a lot to learn as any DBZ game will do, but performing the moves is actually intuitive.
Here's what it takes to do any of the super moves for characters. First, you have to hold both triggers. Then you 1) move the cursor off the screen in some direction and then back, 2) push the Wiimote back then forth (used primarily for Kamehameha-type moves), or 3) wave the nunchuck twice, then push the Wiimote forward. You'll have movement boxes light up for each piece of that move's commands you perform, so even knowing absolutely nothing about a character, it's very easy to jump into any character once you have the basics down.
I hated Tenkaichi on GameCube, can't get used to the Classic Controller, but I adore the Wiimote & Nunchuck control. I wonder if this is what it's like for Brawl newbies who prefer that control rather than GC.

ah, so the wii mote is fun, i'll definitly give it a try at the very least. GC controller is just b/c I'm retro like that. :p

yea, if I had never played melee, I would probably use the wii remote and nunchuck for brawl, it actually yeilds pretty good control.

okay, anyway that's awesome about the GC controller, question though.

The wii mote sounds like loads of fun but, lol it's a DBZ game, something that fast paced, wouldn't an hour or two of that tire you out big time? XD

It is certainly more energetic than other games, but you should be fine. If anything, it'll match up your attitude with the game. My only problem is what I have with other games that use the motion-sensing, that it doesn't always work when you want it. So many times I've played this and Splinter Cell only to find that the nunchuck hates me and wants to **** my mother. The wiimote can point fine, but anytime it actually looks for motion-sensing, it starts to fall apart.

I got the game, and tried the wii mote. Yea, it's pretty simple and fun, but the movements are hard to get down. I figured ud have to swing the remote to punch raather than hit A. XD
