Can someone tell me how I should insert the files of custom costumes over Project M?
I don't have much of an idea what to do...

EDIT:Well,I have got Pirate Yoshi and Quick-Draw Meta Knight working, but only in matches.
Or do they not have custom portraits/poses on the CSS?
And can you choose which costume to overwrite?Do I have to overwrite Purple Yoshi?

DOUBLE EDIT:I have found out how to replace a specific costume. Now I'd like to know how to move the new costume to a blank costume slot(if the character has an empty one.)

K so the costumes work in game for you, but there arent any CSS pics?

If thats the case you need to get into the Common5 file found in the system folder which you need to open with BrawlBox. And you need to have CSS portraits that you can replace in the Common5. Once you find the portraits you want to replace you just right click and replace them.

Yes,that's exactly it.I've never used BrawlBox before but I may try.I'll probably need to use it in order to move the costumes to empty slots(I tried renaming the new files to vacant numbers, like Sonic8.pac(for example),but the game dosen't know there's a new file.)

No you cant do it that way. you need to use other tools to add character slots.
You need to figure out what slot you replaced and find what picture is related to it and change the picture manually. doing this isnt too complicated, its one of the easier hacking you can do. if you get around to trying out BrawlBox let me know and i can help u more if ur stuck

Did it work before for 3.02? Cause if it worked then I would guess that it works now.

Then again they did add a bunch of alt costumes to the game already...

yea it works for 3.0, just be sure to click the Project M option.

it only opens the common5 and places images in (and BP and RSP), as well as overwriting pac/pcs if you add them.
it essentially just opens folders and saves files. PM updates wont change that.

Yes,it's quite easy to use. Some files that do have portraits attached to them aren't being recognized by the program though. I do have Project M mappings on.
