Down throw doesn't chain grab with good di. Against characters like peach or jigs, try up air, but you can knee jiggs if your timing is perfect. Against marth use up throw when he's above 30% followed by up air. Below 30% just tech chase marth to build percent.

Falcon has a psudo-chainthrow on Marth, Shiek, and Roy up until about 20 or 30% with his D-throw, but it can be easily escaped with good DI. I agree with CountOlaf that you should definitely Up-Throw to instant Uair over 30% (unless you feel lucky or read their DI, then you can try to kill them with the Knee of Justice and rack up those style points). Also, a quick note is that you shouldn't practice chaingrabbing on CPUs as they will always DI the same if they are stuck in the same situation.

falcon can almost always follow up from any% with a grab

if marth and peach don't DI, it's very easy to regrab, but it's actually possible even if they DI well, you just gotta be fast

chain grabbing marth with good DI is especially hard, but it's definitely possible (gotta be pretty much frame perfect)
