Doubles Tourney Rules?

Hey guys, so I'm hosting a doubles tourney for my school's Brawl club. We've only ever had singles tourneys. Are there any special rules that should apply to this type of tourney? One of the main questions that's come up is whether or not team attack should be on. What's the general policy?

Thx in advance.

general policy, turn TA on. there are a lot of broken tactics in doubles, and even more so with it off.

Problem is that a lot of people don't want to do if team attack is on because then they say it's just like a 4-player free-for-all.

except there's not 4 people in a free for all. you DON'T want to kill everyone in sight. with a FFA, you attack anyone. in teams, you can develop strategies with your partner to beat the other team who are also working together. without TA 2 Falcos can alternate SH Lasers and pin down teams very easily. crazy slow hard hitting moves like Falcon punch and Ike's fully charged Eruption become devastating by your partner grabbing someone and not having to worry about getting hit when you Falcon punch them both so the opponent he grabbed dies.

But from the sound of it, the people playing probably aren't any good, so it probably wont even matter.
