Double Shine questions

So whenever I try to doubleshine with Fox I dont really have any problem at all. I just got back and forth between y and b as quickly as I can. But with Falco I either do only one shine and an empty jump or get stuck in my first shine and dont jump at all. Am I just going too quickly as Falco? I know his jump startup is slower, how big of a factor is that in this?

If you don't jump at all you're pressing jump too soon. If you're doing an empty jump you're pressing shine too soon.

Yes you're just going to quickly, slow down a bit. The timing is significantly difference between spacies for multishining.
