So I found out with lucas you can (fully jump a down A ie down a IMMEDIATLY after jump begins) then JUST before he lands he can do another jump down A... makes great for mind games etc.. also note that the 2nd down A goes thru shields. I mean its a good combo, but I think you can DI it a bit (esp if you do the full combo I was messing around with...fast fall short hop A (need FF before the last hit)into the double Daps owns people trying to block shield grab you). Also his short hop a in general is really good... combine it with pk fire wavebouncing and you can yourself a ghetto mixup. If you dont want to do double daps you can just FF the last one of the first down a jump and youll land just as your opponent does... forward tilt / uptilt are good options here.

I just like getting in close shothop a though them blocking (so they cant shild grab.. into a double dap). You can also do the initial dap and then FF it into a short hop A etc etc. I still havent tested it out as much as I would like to. But thats where you guys come in.... give me some feedback if this is a viable strategy.

I think for the most part it should be used vs people blocking the actual combo could probably be stopped if they hit the ground hard and had the option to roll (if they dont i think its a fair combo) if they quickroll on wakeup you have other mindgames you can implement etc.

Vs my friends I can get they percentages up over 100 ez I just have a ton of trouble finding a combo that can kill them. Vs space animals it just feels that lucas doesnt have many options since he is so much slower then them in all of his smashes.

hmm kind of hard to understand the way you wrote it but I think I understand what you're getting at. Seems useful in some cases atleast. Always good to find new approaches since it's so easy to counter them in brawl. I rely a lot on Lucas's forward tilt since it's so fast and his smashes are so slow. PK thunder is amazing for killing anyone. Develope mindgames with it and it's amazing. Watch some Simna videos from melee and you'll know what I mean. PK thunder only got better in brawl.

i just meant this is a new way to approach and get some good dmg in. The mind game is really the idea of the 2nd part of it comming out or you just FF into another setup.

Random attacks while approaching aren't necessarily the way to go, especially since most of Lucas' have considerable winddown lag.

Can you define what aggressive edgegarding with lucas entails... all I think of is pk thunder or 4,6 A. Need to see if you can use Dsmash to stuff their 6B
