Forgive me for the sparse details but this kind of just came to me on the spur of the moment.
Yes, I am actually proposing a Game Boy as a playable character. I would like to see a Game Boy with a pixel face on its screen hobbling around attacking people. In much the same way Game & Watch is an early Nintendo handheld fanservice character, I think making an actual Nintendo console playable would be a neat addition. Characters and other such items would emerge from its face and it would also be able to punch and kick using its d-pad and buttons. It could also fire out its cartridge for Smash attacks and have a mechanic where it discharges and reloads batteries from its backside.
After all the talk about the DLC characters I honestly think Smash could use more crazy characters like this.
