Don't waste your time in Walmart today.

Reporting from Ontario, but not like Toronto, out of the GTA.

So Walmart and Amazon were advertising that today, December 14th, wave 2 would be released. Hippity Skippity Jolly me decided to go when Walmart was open.

1st walmart: Didn't have them, asked the guy, never heard of the 2nd wave.
2nd walmart: We decided to call, and she said that she knew today was the release date, but they got a call for delay.
3rd walmart: Called, DIDN'T KNOW WHAT AN AMIIBO WAS!

I gave up right then and went home, and am now throwing my money at amazon. Anyone else have troubles with Walmart or was I just EXTREMELY unlucky/

I got a Zelda from Gamestop but I had pre-ordered her. Didn't see any wave 2 on the shelf.

Seems like it. If you know you want a certain character, probably cheaper too, because if you wait until after, people up the price online.

This more or less sums up how I feel about Villager, Marth, Wii Fit Trainer, and Captain Falcon.

In fact, Wave 3 preorders are already starting to look dismal.

Luckily, I know a guy from gamestop and he says he's gonna hold a Pit and Falcon for me when they get them Tuesday or Wednesday.

However, gamecube adapters aren't in stock even though redditers said they would be today and a Hori Battle Pad is $45 on Amazon.

I never thought things for Smash could be worse than the 3DS demo codes, but I was so wrong it hurt.

I really wanted a Marth but I refuse to pay more than what it originally cost. I just take a deep breath, pre-order the ones I want in the future, and keep my fingers crossed that they release more in the future. Better for my blood pressure haha.

I'm still kind of in denial that any of this is happening. I don't see why Nintendo would do this kind of thing unless it was announced to the general public that they would be short in stock and you need to get them quick.

If I can't get a normal priced Marth around Christmas and after finals, I'll probably just stick to a Pikachu or Fox or something.
