It's not like anyone other than K. Rool and Dixie really has any sort of shot at playability.

I would like to see a Rambi AT though. With his appearance in DKCR and the current lack of a DK AT I'd say he has pretty good chances.

Funky Kong's best chance would be as a last-minute Donkey Kong semi-clone. But if Sakurai needed a last minute clone from the DK series, chances are it would be Dixie, so again, really only K. Rool and Dixie have chances.

I guess Funky might be in third... but that's not really saying much...

Your mileage may vary on that interpretation. Since it's etsablished Cranky is original DK, and Cranky called DK his son in DK64, I'm going to go with that one. And hey, there's already a K. Rool thread and a Dixie thread. I'd love to talk about Funky all day long, but the likely characters already have threads.

Good point Diddy Kong but then again Dr. Mario/Mario combo so doesn't keep him out. I don't give any of the traditional characters a high chance but you never know with Sakurai's love of classical game (which is probably part of the fact he grew up playing those games).

Truthfully I only see Donkey Kong getting one new character and I afraid Sakurai is going to overlook King K. Rool which is the one I desire. I would love seeing both K Rool and Dixie in Smash.
