Dolpin Netplay problems

So I've been trying to improve my Melee and PM game and since I felt I couldn't get much better playing against computers, I took to the internet for some netplay battles. This worked well while on Dolphin 4.0 6554 and then the new standard for Dolpin and netplay became 4.0 7161 when I switched I noticed that I started lagging more, at first I thought it might just be the connection of the other players, so I started playing some friends that live close to me, knowing they had good internet, the lag was still there. It kept getting worse, now every time I go on netplay, when the game starts netplay says "Possible desync on frame 1" and we desync, this has been happening for weeks now, any fixes?
