does your wii scratch your discs? not specific to brawl, but has to do with it

its done this to my copy of guitar hero and now brawl. i dont know why, but my wii scratches my disc.

i dont do anything to the disc, its the wii itself

now it ejects randomly probably due to the scratches

i used to keep it horizontal, until it ejected my discs

it actually helps when i keep it vertical though, the disc doesnt randomly eject

my actual question is how can i stop it from scratching my discs in the first place?

Scratching discs is common when the Wii, or any disc holding console for that matter, is bumped or moved while the disc is inserted in the rom. If that is not the case, then something is wrong with the Wii and you should have it checked out.
