We allow them as a counterpick variant of Final Destination, but if FD is banned in the CP'ing process the Omega Stages are also banned. We treat Miiverse the same way for Battlefield.

I had to check to make sure I actually updated the rules to reflect this, but yes, and more importantly I don't see why this shouldn't be the case globally for any reason other than rights to music for streaming. Miiverse is another story though.

I generally support the method of allowing Omegas as an alternate to FD. If it's in round 1, players can basically "gentleman" a specific Omega, otherwise it's loser's choice if it's not banned.

What's the other story about Miiverse? Is it relevantly different from Battlefield?

You can't play on Miiverse if a 3DS is connected to the Wii U. I think the two stages are functionally similar enough to be considered the same way we treat Omegas in regards to FD, but I can't put a rule that says "If Battlefield is not banned Miiverse may be selected alternatively" if certain players simply are unable to play on the stage.

Alternately you could forbid the use of the 3DS.

But personally, there's no point in outlawing it just because of that. It seems fairly unlikely that someone would just choose to use a 3DS in order to prevent Miiverse.

I assume the first bit of your post was a joke.

I'm cool with people agreeing to Miiverse (eg. striking to Battlefield "hey do you mind Miiverse?") but I'm never going to put something in the rules that forces people to play on Miiverse if their opponent wants to do so because it would be inconsistent.

It wasn't a joke (I mean, most tournaments do so anyway). But it's not an ideal solution in smaller tournaments.

The alternate view angle is that because using the 3DS restricts access to a stage, it's not entirely reasonable to allow it.

It's pretty lame that the U can't let you go to a stage if it's in the process of trying to use wireless, but you have to choose based on your playerbase. Outlaw an already-unpopular controller, or outlaw (or relegate to Gentleman's Only) a fine stage.

The freedom fighter want to do as most tournys do and ban all of the people who ain't got a Wii U and are used to 3ds only lmao.

Anyway, yeah, I allow them just as you said. I never knew about the miiverse, Its an alternative of BF here too. I might ban it although I doubt it will cause any issues.

About omegas, I am revisiting that clause currently. I've seen some players take other less inexperienced ones to Pyrosphere cause there's a chance you'll SD beneath its stupid ledges if you don't know about them. Also walls can make a huge difference for some characters so Idk if I really should be considering all omegas the same. I might turn it into a Gentlmen, if youre picking and you wanna go to a certain omega you must get the approval of the guy you're facing. Unsure yet.
