Smash Wii U Does the Pro controller Charging cord negate lag/delay?

If I have my pro controller plugged into my Wii with the charging cord does it negate the lag/delay that happens because its wireless. I know the xbox one controllers/charging cords work this way but I don't know if the Wii U does.

No its just a charging cord.
I can't tell any delay in the controls anyways.

Pro controller user here and though there technically is lag since its wireless I feel none at all.
