Does knockback on shuttle loop decay?

This might be a very stupid question, but I heard it said that SL never loses knockback. I would find it strange, but it would be very cool if it didn't. I just wanted to ask you guys if you could confirm that this statement is false or not. It would greatly affect how I play Meta.

Every move decreases in knockback and damage, the shuttleloop really depends on WHEN in the animation you hit your opponent, which changes the knockback. But its not something that i would save up for a kill move or anything, as i dont see the decaying a problem unless you're spamming up b nonstop

Yes, shuttle loop does decay a little, and it can definately be used as a ko move, especially in the air as a non-decayed SL actually has pretty good knockback.

All moves decay, but this shouldn't be a problem for Shuttle Loop, as you shouldn't use it as a frequent damage-racker, and Meta Knight's fast, multi-hitting attacks kill off decay from other moves fast (especially Mach Tornado).

You said it. The knockback does decay and is completely dependent upon where you hit the opponent. If your opponent is only slightly above you, you will achieve the greatest knockback (if he is in front you'll send him forward and if he's behind you he'll be sent backwards). If he's is very much above you, it'll barely faze him. The shuttle loop is most definitely a KILL move. It's all in the positioning.

It decays but even at it's most decayed point it's going to be an off-stage killer. That being said, evaluate your playstyle and needs and decide whats best for you.
