It needs to be a 2GB or less card.

1GB should work in theory, though I'm not sure if it is actually big enough to hold everything.

it only needs to be a 2gig if you're using the hackless method actually.

Well yes, only for the hackless method, although that is the most common way that most people play it from what I know of.

But according to the official Project M site, it doesn't have to be exactly 2gigs. the SD just can't have more then 2gigs.

Your SD card must be less than or equal to 2 GigaBytes in capacity to use Project M.

That information is most likely in regards to using the hackless method, or still outdated; you know, with the launcher allowing larger cards and all. I use a 4gig card myself.

From my understanding, if you're using the hackless method, you can boot into the PM Launcher (from stage select) using a smaller SD card, then when you're in the PM Launcher, switch to any size SD card and boot up the game.

So @ zanelex zanelex , you could put certain PM files on your 1GB SD card just to get to the PM Launcher. And put the entire PM build on your 4 or 8GB card and use that.

The music files are in [SD:]\projectm\pf\sound\strm

You can order them by largest size first and keep deleting until you get the overall size small enough.

It's a bit over 500mb, I only had to delete a few stages and the stock PM musics to make it fit in my 512mb card.
