So my friend and I were discussing this awhile back

He said that it was common knowledge that character's hit box becomes bigger when they get more damage %...so like 999% would have a bigger hit box than 0%

Then we tried this on training mode and I still wasn't convinced because every time it did hit at 999 when it didn't hit at 0 I thought it was by human error (falco B airing fox on the ground)

Ok, so is this true?

stand there see how far the shines(fox's) hotbox is go to 999% and shine again if they are hit then magically the hitboxs grow.

I doubt it and if it did it wouldn't amtter because it's so small and unless your roy you won't knock them up to 200%

If you look REALLY closely, you'll notice that the camera's angle shifts a little since I accidentally touched the camera's angle in the 999% one (c'mon... I didn't want to set the damage to 999 again...). These were taken using the standard for Stratocaster's System (which reminds me to work on Luigi again looool though I'm half-done :p)

So the answer is: no, with objective proof.

If there WAS a difference, I'm pretty sure there would've been at least 3-4 people on here who would've said something (since the game's been out for about 8-10 years now, it would've been bound to happen; not like this falls in the special techniques category or anything either; it'd just be a physical property of the game. Also, either M2K or SuperDoodleMan would've said something about this if it was true seeing how they were the ones who pretty much dissected the game and researched/studied everything there was to it including even the most minute details).

.......so yeah, tell your friend he's stupid.

Well according to him, knowledge isn't common.
