Smash 3DS Does gold from the demo get transferred to the retail version?

Title says it all. I've worked up a ton of gold, and was wondering if anyone's heard if it transfers to the final version. Has it been seen in the Japanese versions?

Aww, that's a bummer. I wonder why they removed that feature from the Western version of the demo. Very nonsensical if you ask me. :\
