Does Exclusive stages also mean exclusive music?

If you think about it, most of the songs in smash come from the stages and since Sakurai confirmed exclusive stages for both versions does that mean music will be exclusive as well?

What are your thoughts? Are you okay with this?

I would say yes in some cases. I don't expect Gerudo Valley to play on Skyloft for instance, while I expect it to be unique to the actual Gerudo Valley stage on the 3DS version. Likewise for the Skyloft theme and Skyward Sword themes on the Wii U version.

Makes sense to me. There's got to be SOME exclusive content besides stages.

I don't necessarily think so. I mean sure there might be exclusive music. But at the same time I think it would be a little meticulous to remove music entirely just to keep the two separate. I mean you can play Gerudo's Valley on Ship. So I think MOST music will be on both. At the same time I am sure there will be specific exclusive songs. Like the DS pets theme or something.

Well, it makes sense if some songs are exclusive, but it's not farfetched to think some songs might be on both versions but playing on different stages.

The Gerudo Valley song plays on the Gerudo Valley stage on the 3DS version, but could instead play on Skyloft or another Zelda stage on the Wii U version, since the Gerudo Valley stage is exclusive to the 3DS version. This assuming that the song is featured on both versions, of course.

Personally, I'd like if both versions shared the same soundtrack, but had the songs distributed differently due to different stages. Any stages on both versions, such as Battlefield, would obviously share the same music sets.

Though the 3DS can actually handle many songs on the game card, given that those have 8 GB like Wii dual layered discs such as Brawl's, I'd understand if it hadn't as many songs as the Wii U version.

It's ironic that gerudo valley is on the 3ds considering oot on it was a remake. All the other remakes AND the original were on consoles

Gerudo Valley was originally on the console, good point. It does make me sad that I very likely won't see it in the Wii U version, because it is one of the only stages I would like to see adapted to the Wii U. Not necessarily for the HD, but I would like to see it more desert-like. Dunes, climbing walls of rock on the horizon, the Gerudo Fortress and statue, and sandstorms.

Possibly. But it doesn't really matter. Soon the entire soundtrack will be on the internet, and I can listen to all of them irrespective of which version I buy.

I think the musics of the other version of the game will be still avaiable for the costum stages.

Good question; no clue. I am ok with this however, since I plan on picking up both versions.

Probably, but seeing as how we will likely be able to upload music without replacing files via hacking like in Brawl, I doubt it will be much of an issue for those who care.

Also, I think a lot more of the songs are going to be imports directly from their games rather than new remixes of them in Brawl, just because there's going to be considerably more songs than ever.
