does anyone have a sony cybershot camera?

i have a sony cybershot DSC-t9 , it comes with a "steady shot" button. i am wondering if anyone knows how to use it. i did read the instruction manual, but i dont really understand it because nothing happens when i push it.

I don't know if this is what it is, but my camera has a feature where it reduces shakiness...

Say you have shakey hands, you look at the LCD, and it's shakey... like your hands. You turn the feature on, and the shakiness is reduced greatly.

do you turn it on just by pressing it before you take the picture? mine doesnt show whether its on or off when i push it
