I mean, yeah, it's frustrating, I totally get where you're coming from.
That being said! You do have to accept every match for what it is. You can't predict how well you're going to do in tourney accurately. There's a lot of factors to consider: What PR players/strong regulars are attending the tourney you're entering? What is your skill level? Where were you seeded? Everything all the way down to what you eat while you're at the tourney (I'm serious, that counts and I was planning on starting a thread on this eventually) adds up to where you place in a tourney. I've placed very well in some tourneys and have been double eliminated in others. In a way, it's like a gamble. You throw money into a pot and see how well you do. And that's part of what makes the tourney scene so exciting. So yeah, it's frustrating when you can't get past the first round, but keep on fighting. That's all you can do. Take it to losers bracket and see how well you do in there. Who knows? You might end up making an epic comeback.
