You spend all day doing tourneys and
can't get past round one...?

My head is about to explode Jesus Christ give me a break.

I need chamomile or tranquilizers or something.

Edit: this was meant for the Wii U subforum, oops

It might mean going back to the drawing board to practice what you lack in, and possibly rounding out what you can do without pointless gamebreakers (Custom Tourneys).

I mean, yeah, it's frustrating, I totally get where you're coming from.

That being said! You do have to accept every match for what it is. You can't predict how well you're going to do in tourney accurately. There's a lot of factors to consider: What PR players/strong regulars are attending the tourney you're entering? What is your skill level? Where were you seeded? Everything all the way down to what you eat while you're at the tourney (I'm serious, that counts and I was planning on starting a thread on this eventually) adds up to where you place in a tourney. I've placed very well in some tourneys and have been double eliminated in others. In a way, it's like a gamble. You throw money into a pot and see how well you do. And that's part of what makes the tourney scene so exciting. So yeah, it's frustrating when you can't get past the first round, but keep on fighting. That's all you can do. Take it to losers bracket and see how well you do in there. Who knows? You might end up making an epic comeback.

I would get more angry losing the finals than I would losing round one. When you're in the finals you have this feeling like you've come so far, and if you lose it's for nothing. In round one it doesn't really matter because you haven't made any distance to begin with. Whenever I get upset about tournaments I just go back to regular 1v1 FG.
