If there is i would like them to be great and powerful!
do you think there will be a special item for each character?

Not as character specific, like only Mario and Luigi could pick up shells.

But if they made certain items more powerful when used by certain characters, like Kirby would do more Damage on a warpstar than say..Link.

i don't know...
i think the super move item which gives you a character specific super move is as close as you are going to get.
