Other games get those things and they still get sequels.Because of balance patches, DLC characters, and quite possibly DLC modes, I don't think a new Smash will come out. I don't see what else they could do with it without changing the game entirely.
It'll only be a while so long as the next Nintendo console takes a while, and assuming the NX is the next big thing, it may not be a while. At least not as long as Brawl to Smash 4.I don't think it will the last smash but with DLC and updates there may be a while before another smash bros is announced
No way, this series makes too much money
Making the next game closer in line with Melee sounds like a decent idea so long as they avoid one of Melee's horrid game design flaws (L-Cancel; everything else is okay). But having different game modes to appeal to the different playerbases just seems awkward. "This game mode has Light-Shield, this one doesn't" Why would someone choose the mode with less options? (inb4 "Why would someone play Smash 4 when it has less options than Melee").If it isn't the last, I really hope that the next person to direct Smash development notices the Melee following and add things to cater to them as well as add things to cater to people who like the other Smash games. I dunno. Maybe different physics modes? Faster paced option? Just wanted to see your opinions haha.
Your argument doesn't make sense. That could be said for every game nowadays. Smash Bros is as iconic of a franchise for Nintendo, just like Mario Kart. As long as these games are selling money, they will make sequels with or without Sakurai.Because of balance patches, DLC characters, and quite possibly DLC modes, I don't think a new Smash will come out. That, and you can only really get away with the whole "keep one game on life support with DLC indefinitely" thing with PC titles since they won't need to come out with new versions of that game for the new console generation anyway.Your argument doesn't make sense. A reboot? You mean a dark and gritty reboot that changes everything we know about Smash? Why? if anything, Smash may get a reboot next installment.
