I'm sure you all know that the IC were cut due the 3DS limitations... or not?

Just think about it.

Sakurai said in Famitsu interview that all the Smash Run enemies belong to the series that have at least one playable character. This is correct until the part that the polar bear from IC and the ghosts from that game were the Chorus Men are from (Srry but idk its ñame) happen to be enemies.

This makes me believe that the IC and the CM (chorus men) were planned to be added, but they were cut for the same reason.. or not?

If Sakurai knew that this characters weren't going to be playable, why did he bothered to add enemies of that series on the game???

The Polar bear maybe was added to remember the IC in some way, but the CM were supposed to be newcomers, so they didn't really need that kind of representation IF they weren't going to be playable.

Another interesting fact is that IC's cheer that was found in game. Most of you will say "Oh, but Mewtwo data was also found on Brawl so it means nothing". You're right, but none of those files were big or important enough to be found in game without the need to hack. Also, Mewtwo was cut at the last stages of development, so it's normal that some information stayed at the final game. But the IC's "cut" was made since they knew "couldn't" add them, so why didn't they just erased the data to make more space???

Conclusion:

Ridley/Mewtwo team confirmed :p

Real conclusion:

For me, Sakurai is just trolling us and he is going to add both the IC and the CM using DLC or the Wii U/3DS linking function...

Or he just made some dumb mistakes...

Because he didn't know they weren't going to be usable until later in development.

The Polar bear maybe was added to remember the IC in some way, but the CM were supposed to be newcomers, so they didn't really need that kind of representation IF they weren't going to be playable.
As much as I love the Chorus Men, that isn't significant proof that they were meant to be playable.

Time constraints. No time to delete and add new stuff. Every game developer keeps beta stuff in their games because they think no one will find it. All of them have been wrong thus far.

Or he was trying to add them and failed to do so because making a game the scale of Smash is hard as balls.

Sakurai is a business man. To say that he doesn't care would be a stretch, he wouldn't be in this huge, long, exhausting project that takes several years to complete if he didn't care. With that said, he's not that involved with the community either. He's just the head honcho. It would be business first, fan service second. Sakurai isn't trolling anyone, he's a business man who does his job. He makes light hearted jokes that fans take seriously and refer to them as trolling.

If there's one thing I noticed the past two years, it's that everyone has been taking Sakurai too seriously. This game is a job for him. Do you actually think Sakurai goes home at night and goes to sleep thinking about Smash and wanting to play Smash in his free time? Or thinking about ways to troll his fans? Nope. So far, all his decisions are business based, all the technical fixes, characters, etc. His games are great, but I think it's about time we stop reading into what he says and does as if he's some cryptic mastermind who has a master plan hiding in plain sight.
