If yes, tell me what you like to listen to!

If no, why not?

Usually the game's soundtrack haha. But there are moments when I go over to a friend's, and he plays stuff from electronic to Motown music, so it can be quite interesting

I just hope that the Wii U version has some sick music that won't get old too quickly.

Considering the fact that Smash Bros. has arguably the best video game soundtrack of all time, I crank up the music as loud as it can go.

Since Mario Galaxy 2 I've played almost every game on mute while listening to something else, not music, in the background.
I'm sure I'll listen to Smash though.

Since Brawl I've turned off the in-game music usually and played hard rock and heavy metal since that music goes well with Smash.

I like to associate certain songs with certain characters and stages. Here are some examples, using characters playable in SSB 4:

The Original 12:
Pikachu: AC/DC - Thunderstruck and High Voltage, Kix - Blow My Fuse (all related to electricity in some manner)
Kirby: Alice Cooper - Feed My Frankenstein (a reference to Kirby's ravenous appetite), Aerosmith - Pink (self-explanatory)
Samus: Wolfmother - Woman (to let me know that Samus is in fact, a woman)
Jigglypuff: Metallica - Enter Sandman, Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) (both refer to her ability to sing opponents to sleep)
Donkey Kong: Guns N' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle (self-explanatory)

Introduced in Melee:
Dr. Mario: Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood
Bowser and Ganondorf: Savatage - Hall of the Mountain King

Introduced in Brawl:
Diddy Kong: Same as DK
Pit: Iron Maiden - Flight of Icarus
Wario: Budgie - Breadfan (also the Metallica cover), AC/DC - Moneytalks, BulletBoys - For the Love of Money (all relate to money, which Wario is obsessed with)

Introduced in SSB 4:
Duck Hunt: Ted Nugent - Fred Bear (Duck Hunt is a hunting game, and the song is about a real life hunter named Fred Bear; Nugent himself is a hunter)
Little Mac: Survivor - Eye of the Tiger, Robert Tepper - No Easy Way Out, Bill Conti - Gonna Fly Now, John Cafferty - Hearts on Fire, James Brown - Living in America
Mega Man: Black Sabbath - Iron Man

These are just some examples I can think of. Many of you should get the connections.

This is actually really interesting! As a fan of rock myself, I'll have to try this out.

With the 3DS version I have recently turned off the music and played my own. Today I turned the music back up, though, as I won't be playing it as much. I vary when it comes to this. Sometimes I'll turn the music down and play my own, sometimes I'll listen to the awesome in-game music.

I'm the type of person that gets easily distracted and if I attempt to multi-task, I fail miserably on all activities I do simultaneously. So..........no.

There are music tracks in the game, better than most regular music out there. I see no reason to listen to anything else.
