This is a habbit of mine that i really hate. I play a game, love it to death but then for some reason just stops playing it!
Ive got countless exaamples of this and i will probably continue do it untill i die.

Some games Ive stopped playing are Pokemon mystery dungeon, Eternal sonata (its done now tho), Rogue galaxy(even tho i still love it and i will play it through someday), jak and daxter 1, klonoa 2, bioshock and the list goes on and on.

Post in the comments if this happens to you? im looking forward to hearing your storys! :D

I'll only usually ever drop a game if I don't like it or if the game in question stops being fun and the fun parts aren't worth dragging through the unfun parts.

I used to have this problem when I was younger, but it was never really a problem since I'd always get back to my games eventually. These days if I like a game I dedicate my game time to trying to beat it.

I've dropped playing numerous NES games, most I can't really remember, but one of them was Metal Gear. I just never found it or the rest fun. I've stopped playing other games as well that are more recent such as Etrian Mystery Dungeon and Bravely Default, but I consider those mere breaks and I plan to get back to running through them sometime.

I ended up dropping DQIV for some reason a while ago. Also, I stopped playing DOTA a while ago, but I'm getting back into that (JUST LOOK AT THE PROFILE PICTURE).

When I was younger I would sort of do that. I would just stop playing a game and then forget about it for two years or so. Then I would suddenly want to play that game and I restart it at the beginning and then play the game to the finish. So I eventually beat the games that I enjoyed, but there was a big hiatus, lol.

I always do that when I overextend myself and I try to play like 6 games at once (not at the same exact time, you know what I mean). I'll usually end up getting halfway through all of them and only finishing one. Then I forget about them for a year and replay them from the beginning, one at a time.

When I was younger, basically any RPG I would abruptly stop playing because I couldn't get past a boss fight.
Literally happened with every RPG I would play.

Real life stuff put me in a bad mood in the middle of Ys: The Oath in Felghana so I put it down. I intended for it to be a short break, but it was several months ago and I still haven't gone back. I liked the game and was going through Ys game after Ys game. Sometimes I get distracted from a game and just don't have the drive until another day.

I stop playing a game when I put it down during a difficult or unfun part of the game.

I'm sure you know the feeling, when you're like "I'll get back to this eventually" or "I'll do it when I'm in the mood", then you pick up other things and never look back.

Yeah, I do this constantly. When my lineup is clear and I can focus on one game, I'll burn through it no problem. I finished Persona 4 within like, a week. But once I set foot into 3+ games, all (or most) of them are practically banished to my "I'll finish this some day" pile. Even The Witcher 3, one of my most-anticipated games in a long time, took me quite a while to finally complete.

It's a habit of mine when it comes to playing one game, but I move on to another and I put the other game away because I wasn't in the mood to play it more. There are times I stop playing a game because I either hate it or just couldn't get into it. Lately, I couldn't go back to both Majora's Mask 3D & Kid Icarus: Uprising because I've been in a Splatoon & Pokemon kick. Someday I will get back into those games, though.

This is something I always end up doing and ultimately never finish the game unless I really want to. I think it has to do with either laziness, lack of interest / motivation, or am just busy. Planning to go back to DKC: TF, NSMBU and to a lesser extent, Mario Party 10 at some point. And perhaps several 3DS games as well.
