When I say colors, I mean when he's doc vs reg do the hitboxes or anything change? It feels like his fsmash is stronger...

No and recently doc's fsmash was changed from electric element to a new light element because electrical attacks have more hitlag and more potential for SDI. Now they are exactly the same.
