Hello, So do certain stages benefit certain characters or do all of them work out evenly for all of them? Like in soul caliber a stage with a wall would work better for a character like maxi and a stage with no wall works better for nightmare. does this concept work in smash as well?

Yeah, the concept applies. A basic example right now would be counterpicking Battlefield or a stage with lots of platforms to navigate against Little Mac. Generally speaking Little Mac is at a disadvantage in the air, so if you know that you could pick that stage against him and camp the platforms to force him to approach you, etc.

It can be more complicated than that of course. A counterpick stage for Link in Brawl (and I suppose SSB4 now too MAYBE) was Norfair because he could often save himself from dying by using zair as he got launched and grappling onto the tons of edges that stage has

Yes, Certain stages benefit some characters much more than others. For example, Little Mac has a huge advantage on flat stages, because he can stay grounded and can get away with his awful air game.

This is why tournaments have counter-picking, where the loser of the game chooses the next stage, which can give their character a bit of an advantage. Some stages may also be banned because it gives certain characters too much of an advantage, if they for example can infinitely combo somebody on a wall.

All Omega Final Destination forms are Little Mac's home turf, since there are no platforms, aka For Glory (for Little Mac).
