Do any good PMers use default controls?

Everyone I fight always uses custom controls. I was curious if any good players don't customize? I just love maneuvering my jumps with up-tilt too much but everyone I know turns it off.

Plenty of them do. Kels does, and if I had to guess, a good amount of players that came from melee, do as well.

Tap jump on is more beneficial than having it off too.

I use default but I also claw. When I get good enough I might start footstooling with x (for falcon). If Pmdt never manages to fix wd oos I might also make x shield (for samus).

The only character who I think has a legit reason to not have tap jump is Zamus.

pretty sure any good pm player who also plays melee would minimize customization.

Quite a few Melee vets use stock controls due to comfort factor and to minimize any potential problems transitioning from one to the other.

Entirely subjective and character dependent.
If you have a spare shoulder button set to Jump or Special you can do anything out of shield with a little retraining.
