Smash Wii U DLC purchased, downloaded, and "installed", not in game. Yes I have restarted.

I purchased DLC, but got an error. So I got it again, but it said I was "redownloading it". Now, if I go back, It does not show up, saying "purchased" instead of "redownload" where check would normally be in the eshop.

Every time I go to the home menu it says that data has finished installing. If not every time, close to it. When I go to exit out of smash or when i get kicked out of the eshop, it says so. I have restarted smash and the console multiple times, the DLC is not appearing in my character or stage roster.

Any help?

Because the eShop is experiencing heavy traffic, there can be technical difficulties with downloading the new DLC contents.

Oh boy, that sounds rough.

Have you tried redownloading it from the eShop? Sounds like the best chance you've got.

I got the same thing, closed the game, went back into the shop, said I'd got it.

Went back into the game, up pops Lucas. It's weird. =/

I got the same problem, but fixed it by deleting the dlc entirely and redownloading from the eshop

I had the same issue as you. I just turned my Wii U off and spent some time away from it. I came back not too long ago and had the new content available.

I'd just wait personally, seems alot of people are having the same issue, just give it 10 minutes or so and it'll pop up on it's own. You can redownload it if it's not popping up though. c:

Thats why im going to wait till atleast tomorrow for the 3 characters and the 64 stage and miiverse till tomorrow atleast.

Yeah, it is crazy right now. I got the patch while everyone was trying to download the characters, but then I have about 45 minutes of footage recorded of me just trying to download the characters. You'd think they'd be prepared for it. XD

Maybe you should try restarting the console to see if the DLC will come up for you. If not, try redownloading the DLC again and start the game afterwards.
