Do you think the Smash dlc is overpriced, underpriced, or fairly reasonable? There's been people who complain about the prices way to much, and those who fund it fair, so...what do y'all think?

Also, I think this can be a thread...maybe.

This thread's focus is too narrow, which is against this forum's rules.

Edit: Thread reopened after some talking with the other staff members.

I'm more than willing to pay $5-ish dollars for a past favorite like Roy. I'll be certainly ecstatic when the primetime newcomers come rolling out.

It seems completely reasonable to me. With how much the content is actually offering, new characters and stages, I'm completely willing to pay for the quality they're pushing out.

The mii costumes are just nice little extras that are worth around what you're paying for them.

The pricing is extremely in-line with other DLC pricing in other games across platforms.
And to boot, it's actual post-production content, instead of cut content added for a fee, which is good.
No complaints here.

The characters and stages? For sure worth the money.

The Mii costumes? ...eh...

The Mii costumes are as (or more) visually significant than most cosmetics in a lot of f2p games at a lower price point, so from the stance of "this does literally nothing but have an appearance", they're still very reasonable.

But at the same time, entirely optional, from every standpoint.

It's extremely reasonable pricing. First of all, if you get a character for both versions of Smash, it costs $5.00 (excluding Ryu who is $7.00). If you only want a character for one version of smash, they cost $4.00 (Ryu at $6.00). I have purchased sandwiches which cost more than these fighters. And the thing is, I have spent countless hours already with Roy, Lucas, Ryu, even Mewtwo. Minimum wage is around $8.00-$10.00 which means Ryu costs a little less than one hour of your time, the other characters are worth about half an hour (or less) of your time assuming you work at the level of minimum wage (most of us are above that). The amount of time you'll spend playing these characters will be much more than the amount of time you had to work to get the fighters. You won't find an ROI like this anywhere else.

The mii fighter costumes on the other hand are less than a dollar so I really don't think anyone has a right to complain about that.

Mewtwo was cut content, IIRC; he only got saved because of fan demand to have Mewtwo back in Smash.

DLC usually is a trend I don't like in gaming...

But smash bros has a life span that is lon enough to be wroth the extra...

I must disclaim I have help paying for mine. (And i have paid parts of games that the people helping me own if I will get a lot of play out of it.) but... I haven't felt ripped off by any purchase.

I find their prices to be perfectly fine, especially their Bundle prices as I typically always go for the Bundles.

I have bought all of them because of their fair price. If the the prices of the mii fighter costumes or even the stages just a bit more, I can guarantee that it wouldn't sell as well. I believe that the character prices are actually a steal and I think that they are underpriced.
