DK trouble

any tips on DK? I just lost first round in a recent tourney against him. is Ftilt is freaken annyoing I was doing good with Combos, Fludd, and fireballs but not cape. I cannot cape his recovery for a certain reason. His upB is can never be caped. I need help in case i fight another DK.

He turns into one bit hitbox when he up Bs, so you should cape early. Try to space it out; hit him with the tip of your cape. There are a few frames where it looks like Mario's done caping that still reflect, so it lasts quite a while. It's usually unwise to give DK his space, but when edgeguarding, his up b will tear you to shreds if you don't. Also, for ftilt, try continually hitting him with an uncharged FLUDD. Most opponents will get tired of that and change their tactics.

Annoyance ftw!

Also, be careful of his throw which will often be used to stage spike (You can tech but the frame window is very small).

DK U-Special has high priority and alternating frames of vulnerability so timing is important.
DK cannot grab up steep-inclines so you can stage counter with green hill zone.
U-smash and U-air can juggle DK at low percents easily.
D-air works well as an approach from above becaus his U-Smash has lower priority. Watch out for his U tilt though. If you alternate between approaching with D-air and attacking him to the face with N-air, B-air or D-air, approaching is easier. D-air leads perfecty into D-smash or U smash.
DK can KO well below 100% and his F-Smash does over 20 so proper spacing, shielding, air dodging is important.
