Someone made another “sonic in brawl” thread with photo shopped picture. So this is to disprove it because that picture was actually well done and some might believe. And thank you good sir.
couldn't people just go to the official website and look at the picture on it to compare?

True, but some people either don't think about that or they are unable to enlarge the picture on their own. And even if they can do that they also have to clear it up as it becomes pixelated for some. So this is just a quick easy way to know for sure.

I hate this. Just because obvious characters haven't been announced yet, people find any and every excuse to claim they're in the game.

Sonic is in the game. There isn't any need to photoshop a picture.

Just a spot of fun guys, no need to get your trousers in a twist.

Besides, it's not as if anybody takes anything on YTMND seriously unless it has Harry Potter in it.

Why would the Olympic game even exist if Sonic were to be in Brawl? The whole point of it is to be the first encounter between Mario & Sonic, yet if SSBB comes out a month later & Sonic's in, it becomes a defeated purpose.

It seems to me that the reason the olympic game even exists to begin with is because Sega wanted Sonic to be on equal terms with Mario. Being the sole Sega rep on a Nintendo produced game filled with tons of Nintendo character isn't exactly equal terms.

...that makes no sense. That increases his chance IMO.

It's not like Brawl is SUPPOSED to be the first time Mario and Sonic are in a game together.

youre not using your head...whats the point of celebrating Mario & Sonic being together in a game for the first time if theyre both gonna be in another one the following month? answer that one...

basically when Nintendo contacted Sega, Sega probably said something gay like "der...we got a better idea" and we all know how "good" Sega's ideas really are. so they hatch up this plan to be like "oh we want to go an Olympic game, wanna put Mario and friends in?" and then Shigeru Miyamoto was like "no way, mah *****. i aint gonna let you guys mess up MY star characters. y'all have already messed up your own". then Sega was like "what if we let you supervise it? cmon Shig's we NEED Mario". and then Shig's be like "aight son calm down yo...ill let you have Mario and friend and I'LL supervise BUT YOU HAVE TO sell the impression that Sonic will be in brawl via subtle hints from this game and then everyone will want brawl then by 12/4/07 ill make dat ***** Sakurai reveal the final Sonic-less roster. Deal?" Sega dude responds "DEAL".

and there you have it

I didn't know Miyamoto was black.

Anyway, that sounds more or less right, unless some miracle happens.

Does that matter? Oh, sure, they've already been in a game together. Why can't they be in another game together? That's like saying Bomberman won't make it in because of the Bomberman/Wario game and that Pac-Man won't make it in because of Mario Kart Arcade GP.

All I know is that the recently closed thread about Sonic & Knuckles had me rolling on the floor. My wife thought I was going to die. Click the link in sig if you care to read it.

I agree with SamuraiPanda as well. It doesn't make sense to continue to search for proof when we already know that Nintendo would be out of their minds to not include him. Just wait until either the DOJO explicitly shows him to us or the game comes out and we unlock him ourselves. If anything, all this "proof" is simply a sign of insecurity and only goes to suggest that Sonic actually might not be in the game. If you are all so sure, sit back and relax. Talk about something else! There is more to Brawl than Sonic. ;)

Yes, MAtgSy and Del Money understand what is happening.

Olympics was made to fill the void of 'future anger' Sonic Fans.

But as Buzz says, No one will be sure about it 'till we have the number and names of the third parties in Brawl.

yes it does

you mean "why cant they be in another game together being release only a couple weeks afterwards after emphasize how much of a phenomenon it is to see Sonic and Mario together"

no its not...pay attention. brawl is being released no where even close to the release dates of the Bomberman/Wario game of Mario Kart Arcade. its the convenient closeness in release dates thats the problem

anythings thats all there is to it..basically topic is over

It is almost as if people believe that if they do not search for proof, Sonic's odds of being in the game are lessened somehow. Either he is in it, or he isn't. It is quite shocking to me (since I don't follow the Brawl boards too well) how whenever a new character is announced, there is already a prediction thread in his or her name. I mean, dude, there was already a thread for Ike!

I thought there were 3 or 4 promised 3rd party character slots or something. I'm not sure. I have no sources. >_<

it was 1 or 2 characters slots for 3rd party (excluding Snake) and it wasnt promised
Don't forget Rayman or Viewtiful Joe, they would be awesome additions thinking in the character's variety.
i liked Rayman alot (before the stupid rabbids). and i guess joe is ok but you would expect big names like Megaman and Bomberman to take it. dont forget....Bomberman is created by Hudson who assists with the MArio Party games. Bomberman also shared a game with Wario. and Konami owns Hudson.

it would be completely illogical for sonic to appear as a playable character in ssbb.

what COULD happen, however, is that in one of the side games, you have to play a mario v. sonic as a challenge.

which then leads to action replay type stuff

and basically another reason why sonic most likely ISNT going to grace the glory of a ssb game

Maybe Konami sent Simon Belmont? He was on Sakurai's poll and he was the Nintendo rep in the '80.

Having grown up in the 80's I just have to say...WTF?

Simon Belmont was hardly the Nintendo rep in the 80's lol.

And Rayman would be far out of place. And viewtiful joe is a cel shaded comic style hero...

Ok, I've grown up in the '80 too.

Here are the top requested characters on Sakurai's poll, and small blurbs with, as far as I know, what he's said about them or anything relating to them. Enjoy!

Simon Belmont-- Metroidvania games are very, very popular these days, and have been since essentially the dawn of console gaming. Simon is the major rep from the Castlevania games, if you didn't know, and was, for many years, a "Nintendo" rep as well. Konami's already working on Brawl, and, despite dissing the Cube, they love the GBA and the DS. And if they let their pride and joy, Solid Snake, enter the fray... who knows what could happen. I guess I should mention as well that Simon does appear on the polls, so Sakurai doesn't mind the idea.

Nintendo isn't stupid, Sakurai isn't stupid, but Sega IS stupid.

Fans overwhelmingly want Sonic in the game. Sonic has as of late been appearing on the wii, finally alongside mario in that Olympic pile.

THE ONLY THING THAT COULD KEEP SONIC OUT OF BRAWL IS SEGA.

Sakurai wants to please his fans, Nintendo wants to sell games, Sega really doesn't care that much. If sega decided to cop an attitude and let it get in the way of signing sonic into the game, we won't see him. otherwise, we will.

that simple.
