Display case for a controller?

So at TBH5 I went around and got a gamecube controller signed by most of the melee top 64 and some commentators. Once the sticker from the donation drive comes in, I want to clear coat it and put it in a display case. I've yet to find a good case for this, and I'm thinking the best option may be to custom make a base and put a glass box over it, idk.

Has anyone ever done something similar? Is there a good case I can get for cheap for this, and maybe just prop it up in front of a piece of acrylic to stand it up vertically?

Perhaps one of those cases that they use to display footballs? Something like this, maybe.

I was thinking that, but they're pretty big. Might just go with it though.
