I wish it was against someone other than Falcon.

Umm...work on grab combos. Seriously. He left himself open so many times and you could have given him at least 50%...seeing as how he's Falcon. Learn what to do in certain situations. If you're fighting a heavyweight, they're at 0%, and wide open...don't go for a dash attack, go for the Gonzo Combo. Some other things need work too...I don't know if it was your spacing or what, but something needs work.

Wtfux retro Kirby is mine too.

As for videos, yeah I agree, looks good. Work on pummeling when you grab, it's free damage.

Edit: Do you use Wiimote+nunchuck o.O

This is my first critique, so let me know if any of my points are mistaken.

Lessee . . . First, you NEED to break your stone habit. Stone is just too predictable to be used that much in serious matches (although I do like how you faked out the Captain at 2:03) Like others said, you should also master the Gonzo combo, especially since your ability to land those grabs looks really good. Don't forget about your grab jabs either.

Be careful not to get predictable with your dodges. At :28 of the TL battle, a better opponent would notice how you kept rolling behind them and would punish you with a DSmash. Also, when knocked down, don't just always roll away from your opponent, ESPECIALLY when you're at the edge. Several of the Captain's Side B's , like the one at :55 might have avoided by rolling towards or by using a getup attack.

The biggest thing that jumps at me overall is that you're a bit too aggressive; you need to know when to pressure your opponent and when to back off. The biggest example I could see was at 2:19 against TL, where you could have saved yourself had you not "run into the ****". Another example would be against the Captain starting at 1:23. Jumping away from him instead of air dodging might have kept you from getting hit by his dash attack.

Overall, your Kirby has lots of potential, but it needs some fine tuning. Break some of your bad habits and work on your defensive game and you'll definitely see some improvement.

2:39 was soooo close to an epic Paunch kill by Captain Falcon.

You and the Falcon were both pretty good. I can't give you a lot of advice, other than what others have said, and definitely a few too many Stones (I use it too, but I try to be less predictable, and I don't use it THAT much)

Was this wifi or offline?

The Toon Link match: he didn't seem very good to me (Ironically I main Kirby, but I also play Captain Falcon, Toon Link...and Ike)

You should have punished his fsmash at 0:54...
be careful when dthrow->uptilting Toon Link because his Dair will destroy you..
get into the habit of pummeling at least once when you grab (exception is at VERY low percentages, they might break out of it)

Not too bad though. His suicide with Dair was kind of dumb, if anything he should have tried it when he was at like 140% on his second stock, and you were offstage on the left.

Do you ever Kirbycide?

more tilts...less stone.

I didn't see one u-tilt in the Cpt. Falcon match...omitting them from any match is illegal to do in all 50 states.

I'll let you off with a warning this time...

learning the gonzo combos is a also a must....

im having trouble with the Gonzo combo. I dont know why but on space animals when i try to uair it doesnt hit them. i can do it fine on Bowser though. and i really do need to get in the habbit of doing it every chance i get.

Edit: Do you use Wiimote+nunchuck o.O
Yes i do, why do you ask?

thanks, i do realize i need to break my horrible habit of over using the stone, and im trying to mix my dodges. what kind of defensive game should i be working on?

No any matches i record are not on wifi.

Yes, i do realize i need to pummel but when the times comes to do it i usually forget, lol. You see, my main is King Dedede so before i started Kirby i was used to such a slow character. I began playing with Kirby and he was SO FAST! I loved the speed of him, i guess you could say it gave me a "rush". which is probably the same reason im so aggressive with him.

and yes i do kirbycide, just not alot.

EDIT: oh and if you wouldnt mind I'd love anyone to check out the rest of my videos. i add more constantly so hopefully in the next few videos ill look a little better. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO REPLIED!!! Any more advice will be appreciated. Here's a link to my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Pdiamond1231

Don't worry, I used to have a similar aggression problem. XD That "rush" that you describe is probably what I had too. I was put in a trance of "ZOMG ATTACK ATTACK!!!!!!11!1!1one" without paying attention to what the opponent is doing, and I got punished for it.

Vulcan asked you the wiimote question because it is not considered as good as the Gamecube controller for competitive play. For one, you'll have a MUCH better time landing the Gonzo Combo if you switch controllers.

For your defensive game, it's not just about dodges. Being defensive sometimes means running away from your opponent's attacks and finding a spot on the stage that will give you more of an advantage. If you're on Battlefield against a character that's good with platforms (e.g. Marth), and they are chasing you into the air, trying to attack back or dodge will not be very handy with those platforms around. A better thing to do would be to try and circle around the opponent and land back on the stage floor, where you will have a better time.

Knocking your opponent away can also be a good way to give yourself some breathing space. Ftilt is great for poking opponents away from you with it's range. Dtilt is good at disrupting opponent's approach, and may even trip them, which is even better. Sometimes, inhaling and then spitting out opponents works wonders. A good example would be against the Captain's Side B.

there are 3 possible reasons why it's not working:

Either A) your timing is off (in this case, you'd just have to practice more. Space animals fall ridiculously fast; fox being the fastest faller in the game. So the timing has to be perfect.)

B) your trying this at higher percents (f-throw to u-air is only guaranteed to hit when your opponent is at 0%)

or C) your not leaning forward after the initial throw...which is the most probable...

After you catch your opponent in a F-throw, simply keep your finger tilted forward on the thumbstick while simultaneously doing a U-air. This is required for all F-throw Gonzo combos except when doing them on big characters like Bowser and DDD.

I don't know how hard this is to do with the Wiimote+nunchuck. Your kinda taking the hard-route to playing brawl in general when using it. Personally, I use a classic controller. They're only 20 bucks and I highly recommend getting one.

anywho, hope this helps...

actually for the last day or two i'v been trying to play with a gamecube controller. i find it is much easier to do short jumps and combos with.
