......Oh. My. Gooood. Please. PLEASE. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. TELL ME YOU ARE JUST ****ING AROUND!

Also, if you somehow aren't kidding, that is the oldest, most basic of all of Ness techniques. You can not even consider yourself as USING Ness unless you use this move. You could not have picked an older, more basic trick to ask about. How you managed 54 posts on this board WITHOUT finding out about it, I will never in my entire life be able to figure out.

And if you are kidding, well then "Ha ha, very funny, ***"

No, it's not that you suck, and I don't want to insult you for not knowing, but honestly, this isn't something you needed to make a whole new thread for, there's a guide up there called.....well, now it's called the Too long for anybody to actually read Ness guide, but it has pretty much everything you need to know. For a quicker, more intelligible read, try Nessbounder's guide to Ness.

For your info, the technique is known as DjC or Double jump Cancelling. It's when you cancel your second jump into an aerial, and it can only be done with characters who have wierd jumps like Ness or Yoshi. For Ness it is his most powerful technique as it allows him to do his powerful aerials very quickly and at any height. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of different ways of using the technique, and when combined with fast falling and L-canceling(Known around most parts as DjCFFLing) it can be extremely fast.

Please read the other threads before posting about possible new finds, or at the very least, post it in another thread.

This is well known and his called DJC (double jump cancel) wich cancels some of the lag of ness's aerial attacks, I'm not sure but if you combine this with L-cancel ness aerials are super faster than normal

No, that's another method that's popular. To be honest, it's a lot easier to do that method faster, but I prefer my XX. If you use Y-Up, it's preferred to use the C-stick to do your aerials, or so I've heard. Just something to keep in mind.

To ness users: If I shfflc after a DJC it makes it faster or I just need to L-cancel it?

A DJC can occur way up above the stage, or very low to the ground. if you do very low ones, just l-cancel. This is because Ness can jump, then double jump back to the ground, though it's much easier with Peach. If you're at a medium or large height, of course you want to fast fall it. There are times when you want to DJC at the height of the opponent's shffl, so It's good to be able to DJC at any height.

Edit: By the low ones, I mean the attack is interrupted by the ground.

Yeah. the rest of us are getting there. We're all studying under Simna, following his godly advice and whatnot. Besides, most people who regular Ness boards are just weird, including me. So get used to it.

I've never had a problem with DjC, or even L-cancelling, my only real problem(which still exists in smaller amounts) is timing the **** lag from that bair, and then going back to the fair and STILL doing it right.

But yeah, I dunno, I've been playing Megaman since I was six, my thumb possesses awesome powers.

For the best videos, check Simna, Mofo, and Umbreon Mow. The So-called Sannin of Ness. N.OW is pretty good too, Emmy, and a couple others.
Thanks dude I'll check them out. I wanted to play with some low tier chars and ness is pretty good, his shuffles + DJC aerial combos are crazy

I use X and A, and I can DJC fast enough that the hitboxes don't even come out. Really, it doesn't matter what method you use, DJC's are really simple.

Yeah, DjCing fast enough that the hitbox doesn't come out is largely known as footcancelling. It's easiest to do with Ness's dair cuz of the lag, and it's a pretty good mindgame since you come out of it with no lag.

You can do it with any of his aerials though; even the N-air, but that's pretty hard. My point is that if you need to use different buttons just to DJC, then you need to speed up your fingers. Doing so will not only help you DJC better, but will help you in countless other aspects of the game.
