Hello, I'm new here. I'm wondering if you can have different in-battle names for each texture you have in the same charatcer. Project M used to had Shadow as an altrenate texture of Sonic, yet the name changed to Shadow when it was selected.

Is there a way? I've searched all over the Internet and can't find anything regarding this matter. Thanks in advance.

Project M never had shadow. You must have seen footage from someone's private build. Sketchy clone engines exist, so that might be it. Also, someone very few people were very sneaky and made the names blank for everyone on the character selection screen, and then pasted the names onto the character's portraits themselves, so that they could have names to reflect the individuals.

Regardless, the announcer will still proclaim sonic, and changing the names in the results screen is incredibly difficult, so you're only going to find more and more details that don't match your customized build. Perfectionism in this case is endless and futile.

Thanks for the reply. I know already that you can change the CSP's name by putting a black square on it and pasting the name in the image itself, as that's exactly what I do. I don't know if I was clear enough, I only wish to know about the IN-BATTLE names, those under the Battle Portraits. The anouncer and the Results Screen name is something I can live without, being that said screen is only for what, 3 seconds? But the Battle names.... those are my interest!

In the info.pac, where said names are located, there are gaps in the numeration of the files, so my question was if with a code or something I could have a different in-battle name for each texture.

A temporal solution I have is just having a blank image in said names so every BP is unique, but different names would be nice.
