Differences between Omega Variations of stages

I know that some Omega Stages have walls on the sides and others do not, but are there more technical differences? Like, there's no way that the omega variant of Mushroomy Kingdom is the same length as the omega variant of Arena Ferox, right? or is my mind just playing tricks on me?

All Omega stages are the same length as Final Destination.
