Diddy Kong Tech Glitch?

The other day I was on For Glory against a Megaman on Gaur Plain omega. He stage spiked me with a Bair, and I attempted to tech it, but instead I was sent tumbling at a higher than usual velocity onto the stage after being hit. The movement looked somewhat like the Wario glitch back in the 3DS days, and I wanted to save the replay but instinctively skipped through all the stats and missed my chance. Is this a known glitch? Sorry if this is something ordinary that any character can do, I'm not a competitive smasher and I am not very unaware of the game's mechanics.
